SOMERSET, Pa. (WJAC) — State police in Somerset County said charges have been filed against a man wanted for several banks robberies in two states. According to police, 57-year-old Charles Gibson Jr. is suspected of robbing banks in Maryland in mid-December. He was spotted in Somerset Township a day after the alleged robberies, but evaded police custody.
Police were alerted to Gibson's location a second time after he attempted to rob a bank in St.

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — State police said a Port Matilda man was arrested and charged with repeatedly raping two young girls.
According to a criminal complaint, 20-year-old Elijah Weaver assaulted the girls for a number of years.
Police said Weaver would take the girls to a barn and campground area and force them to perform several different sexual acts.
The victims told police Weaver would grab them and tell them not to move, the complaint said.
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller made history this week by setting a new franchise record for most strikeouts in a single-season by a right-handed pitcher.

EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania State Police in Ebensburg released their five most wanted Wednesday.
Among those troopers are looking for are men accused of strangulation, sexual assault and aggravated assault.
According to state police:
John Watts, 32, is wanted for strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment and was last known to be in the Johnstown area.Tucker Weems, 26, is accused of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person and was last known to be in the Lilly area.
A 26-year-old Altoona woman has been charged with the overdose death of a man, who she allegedly sold multiple drugs.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, in March Tylo Breon Schilling sold fentanyl and morphine to the man at the Beale Avenue Sheetz.
The man was later found dead in his bedroom by his father.
An autopsy showed that he had died from an overdose of multiple drugs, including fentanyl and morphine, according to the affidavit.

This Sunday will be the last service for Trinity United Methodist Church.
The head trustee says membership has declined significantly and board members have talked over the past couple of years about closing the church.
