Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — State police and the Indiana County coroner's office are investigating the death of a man at an Indiana County limestone quarry.
Officials say first responders were dispatched to Ridge Limestone Inc., located in Young Township, around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Authorities say the man had reportedly become trapped in a limestone hopper.
Investigators say, despite rescue efforts, the man, who is an employee of the company, was pronounced dead at the scene.
UPDATE:EBENSBURG, Pa (WJAC) — According to Dauntless fire chief Mike Sheehan, 3 people were rescued from Lake Rowena Saturday afternoon.
Chief Sheehan says that two of the people "self-rescued" themselves and were able to climb back onto the ice.
One other person had to be rescued by the water rescue team.

TATTNALL COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — A Georgia corrections officer is dead after an inmate attacked him.
According to the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), Correctional Officer Robert Clark was escorting two inmates at Smith State Prison in Glennville when one of the inmates, later identified as Layton Lester, assaulted him from behind with a homemade weapon. The other inmate was also assaulted after trying to help Officer Clark.
GDC officials said Clark, 42, started his career in April of this year.

Pennsylvania State Police Troop G honored Lt. James Wagner Wednesday for his heroic actions last year on June 17 in Lewistown, when he confronted an armed individual who fired shots at patrol vehicles parked outside the Lewistown barracks.

JEFFERSON CO, Pa (WJAC) — According to Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, an Ohio man and his female accomplice have been arrested following a methamphetamine bust in Jefferson County.
Authorities say 25-year-old Kimari Jackson and 26-year-old Kareem Rock have been charged with possession with the intent to deliver approximately 850 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 150 tablets of morphine, and 30 grams of cocaine.
On Feb. 6, state police stopped Jackson's vehicle after she was observed driving erratically, and discovered that both her and Rock had active arrest warrants from Ohio.
