MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WBMA) — Blood linked by DNA to Aniah Blanchard was found in the missing teenager's vehicle. A warrant affidavit for kidnapping suspect Ibraheem Yazeed said blood "indicative of someone suffering a life-threatening injury" was found by investigators on the passenger side of Blanchard's Honda CRV. The warrant, filed Wednesday in Alabama, charged Yazeed with first-degree kidnapping. The blood samples were analyzed by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences and positively matched them to Aniah Blanchard, according to the affidavit.

Local girl celebrates one year seizure free, achieves goal of collecting 100 news shirts

(WJAC) — Sally Moore was in sixth grade when she began collecting news shirts, but it wasn't until last year she set a goal to reach 100 of them. “I didn't think I would be at 100 right now. Logan Twp. receives funding to construct new sports park & soccer fields, officials say

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — In Blair County, Logan Township officials are touting new funding that they say will help with the construction of multiple soccer fields. Officials say they were recently awarded $853,000 in funding for the sports park. The park will be located on a 100-acre piece of land located on the Juniata side of Altoona and the Homers Gap side of Logan Township. Officials say the project will benefit the entire county and could bring big economic benefits to local hotels and restaurants.

Man identified in fatal ATV crash; coroner says death was preventable

PATTON -- One man is dead after an ATV accident Friday afternoon in Cambria County. The accident occurred at Rock Run Recreation Area in Patton just before 2 p.m. 60-year-old Clyde Makin was not wearing a seat belt or a helmet when his ATV flipped, ejecting him and killing him after it landed on top of him. Makin was driving his ATV up a hill at Rock Run Park when it overturned.

Three local players get selected in MLB Draft

JOHNSTOWN — The third and final day of the Major League Baseball Draft is complete. Three players with ties to west-central Pennsylvania got drafted. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Ferndale High School graduate Trey McGough in the 24th round. McGough is a left-handed pitcher. He played three seasons at Mount St. Mary's, during his college career.
