UPDATE:

Thousands of residents in Ebensburg Borough and Cambria Township were without power Friday after an hours-long outage.

Penelec says most of the power was restored Friday evening and the cause of the outage is still being investigated, but according to their website, the outage was believed to be caused by the ice storm that rolled through the area.

Cambria County EMA director Art Martynuska told 6 News Friday afternoon that officials were making preparations to open warming shelters in case the outage continued into the night.
