ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — An Altoona man was arrested late last month for witness intimidation, according to Hollidaysburg state police. Troopers say on Feb. 26, Aaron Capps, 19, was arrested for intimidating a witness along the 600 block of South Dartmouth Lane in Logan Township. Military museum on its way to Hollidaysburg

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Greater Pennsylvania Military Preservation Association is working to bring a military museum to Legion Park. Organizers plan to build the museum in an open field to the left of the park's entrance. "My grandfather served in World War I, my father in World War II, I served and my son's also serving currently in the army," association president Thomas Gray said. Gray has a collection of military memorabilia, including tanks, grenades and items men and women have used in wars throughout American history.

Penelec investigating hours-long power outage in Ebensburg, Cambria Twp.

UPDATE:CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Thousands of residents in Ebensburg Borough and Cambria Township were without power Friday after an hours-long outage. Penelec says most of the power was restored Friday evening and the cause of the outage is still being investigated, but according to their website, the outage was believed to be caused by the ice storm that rolled through the area. Cambria County EMA director Art Martynuska told 6 News Friday afternoon that officials were making preparations to open warming shelters in case the outage continued into the night.

Road closed near Nittany Mall for sinkhole

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- East College Avenue near the Nittany Mall has reopened after PennDOT crews fixed a sinkhole that was discovered Saturday. PennDOT said crews have filled the hole with stone and concrete and have paved the roadway. The road had had been closed since Saturday when the sinkhole was discovered.
